About Us
Therian Types
These are the most common types of therian blood we stock. If you need something very rare like Otter or Donkey, you'll need to call and speak to a customer service representative. We can't guarantee regular shipping times for rare types as they take some time to track down.
We will not sell Black Widow Spider therian blood, so don't ask. We've yet to find one positive purpose for this blood and you'll automatically be marked as a sorcerer and deleted from our sales system. (Please note, we don't believe all Black Widow Spider therians are evil, but the blood is unpredictable, and we've
never seen it used for good.)
Please see our cross-referencing index for more information on what blood type might be best suited to your working. This page is not nearly as in-depth. If you need a specific breed of a certain type, you'll need to call customer service at: 555-TYPE ext. 236.
As with rare types, very specific breed requests depend a lot upon what we have access to and how much we have in stock.
We sell by the vial and by the pint. Few spells require less than a vial or more than a pint. And most spells tend to fall in the 1 or 2 vial range.
Therian Types:
CAT: Therian Cat blood has for centuries been considered the most magical of the therian blood types. A few witches, still keep familiars, though the practice is diminishing.
Used for healing and protection.
Cat is often a catch-all type. Used, like salt is used for cooking. Just a dash will do it, to give almost any spell that added oomph.
Cat is one of the most common blood types, so it's also one of the most affordable.
Note: If you have a totem animal you feel an affinity with, you might be best served using the blood of that therian breed for many general workings.
Unless it's one of the more unpredictable types, like wolf.

LION, TIGER, PANTHER: Related to Cat, but a bit more wild and ferocious. Not to be used by inexperienced magic users. Also can be a little persnickety and sensitive.

WOLF: We hesitate to list Wolf. Werewolf blood is more often associated with the darker magic, but it's not an absolute like the black widow. Our psychological screening process is extra careful on this type. And we reject many donors of this type.
Although wolf blood has a bad reputation, we feel it's important to include, because we do recognize the rare time when a completely ethical magic user might have to use darker magic in self defense. Or may be able to use the more positive aspects of the wolf, of which there are many.
*For those offended by the use of the term "Were" in this description, the wolves, shun the term "therian" and have no issue with the term "Were." When we originally put the site up, we called them therians, and we received many complaints.

DOG: When you need something canine but aren't sure what direction to go in, it's hard to go wrong with dog. As far as magical intent goes, it's a far more domesticated and predictable type than wolf. Also far more affordable since the screening process doesn't reject nearly as many donors. Most often used for spells involving love, and psychic skills.

BAT: Used often in healing and regeneration spells. Linked closely with vampires for this reason. Also used in many spells of transformation.

Most often used for truth spells. Or to reveal hidden knowledge/wisdom. Another highly magical type, often considered as in tune with the supernatural world as cat.

COYOTE: Mirage magic, spells to trick or conceal. (While some believe this is dark magic, it can be very beneficial in self-defense. Cast responsibly.)

FOX: Camaflauge, invisibility, shape shifting. Works best for spells that must be done at night. Caution should be taken with shape shifting. As a rule, Therians don't wield magic and magic users don't shape shift like therians. There are always consequences when this law is breeched. Only shape shift in a genuine emergency.

HORSE: Spells involving safety, freedom, escape, and speed. Remember: freedom is never free. Consider all options before using this one.
PIG: Finding lost objects. Intuition. Increased hearing.
BEAR: Spells requiring strength and bravery. Finding hidden knowledge. Shouldn't be used by magic users who lack anger management skills. Bear can elicit a quick to anger response due to lack of fear. Use caution with this blood, or avoid use altogether if you have a hot temper.
PANDA: Uncover past lives. Intuitive skills.
MONKEY: Acrobatic skills. Great for magic users who are also street fighters. Increased sexual potency. This blood is best used during spells using solar energy. Therian Monkey blood is the closest you can get to straight human blood, but with an extra magical ooomph. Use this blood with caution. Monkeys are somewhat unpredictable. Not necessarily dangerous like Hyena, but unpredictable nevertheless.

FROG: Clairvoyance, increased senses of sight and hearing. Strong jumping ability. (close to flying.) Used in both water and earth magic, very adaptable. And for traditionalists with a sense of humor, love spells.

DOVE: Spells related to maternity. Love, feminine energy, creation. Best wielded by female magic users, but can be used by a male in tune with feminine energy.

It's been recently brought to our attention, that a very dangerous magic user, Dayne Wickham, has been ordering from our site for awhile.
We have always worked to make sure everyone on our customer list follows the highest magical ethics, but it appears we've had someone slip through the radar. He was last trying to order cat therian blood from us. If you are a cat therian or know a cat therian, especially living inside Cary Town city limits, be warned, this man is dangerous.
Unfortunately, given our world in the current turmoil that it's in, it is difficult to bring such people to justice. We aren't nearly as organized as most in the regular human world. We can't sue; we don't have prisons. Our justice is often tribal and vigilante. While some may be against the efforts made by Cary Town toward some kind of larger control, it is often for your protection.
Please remember also, that when you order from TherianType.com we have a strict "no fear blood collection" policy. We will not collect blood from a frightened therian.
In addition to our no sales to dark magic users policy, we do not sell to vampires. Vampire consumption of therian blood produces unpredictable results, especially taken from a live source. But it can also be highly dangerous when dealing with the high purity level offered by our company.
We've had to strengthen our customer screening process to ensure undesirables don't get into or stay in our system. We apologize for any inconvenience this more strict screening process might cause. Application Process
Our application process has recently changed. If you are a current customer with us, please follow this process to supply us with any information we are lacking.
1. Your magic user ID number. Many magic users don't have an ID number because most training is done through apprenticeship and not official institutions. In order to order buy blood from TherianType.com you'll have to pass a test with one of the accredited institutions on our list. (Call 555-TYPE ext. 222 for more info.) During the test, you'll be interviewed by a mystic who will determine further your magical intent.
2. If you already have a magic user ID number from one of our approved institutions, you'll need to meet with a mystic for a consultation once every 3 years in order to keep your license current.
Our application process used to work on a referral system, but we've found recently that this doesn't work. We know most magic users are highly resistant to this level of organization and control being exerted in our world. Nevertheless, our own karma suffers when we sell to dark magic users. We hope you'll understand.
Magic Users
Donor Policies
Donors are paid 50% of their blood's selling price. We have donation facilities all over the country for your convenience. At this time, we do not have a donation facility inside Cary Town, WA city limits. But we are working with the leaders in that city to try to set something up.
Always be careful when donating. Many places have unscrupulous practices. We know of many therians on the run for life because of a bad deal made with one of these fly-by-night blood donor services. If you've been the victim of one of these businesses, or an individual posing as a business, call 555-TYPE ext. 677. We have representatives who will help you to find a therian shelter.
When you come in to one of our donation facilities, you'll be asked to fill out several forms regarding your medical history, both physical and psychiatric. You'll also be asked to fill out forms that indicate any medications you are on.
You'll be given a physical and interviewed by a psychiatrist. You only have to go through this process once to get into our system. After the preliminary information gathering, a counselor will be there to answer any questions you may have. Our facilities are very calming, and feature soft music and a coffee bar. Though we ask that you not partake until after blood has been drawn.
We screen your blood while you wait, so this is an excellent time to have a complimentary pastry and coffee. We screen for drugs and impurities. When your blood passes the screening process, the front desk receptionist will write you a check.

Nature of Complaint: I've been doing business with theriantype.com for the past year. On the basis of mere speculation they've closed my accounts and refused to continue shipping products to me. These are discriminatory business practices.
Theriantype.com response: We have on record, a report, verified by several independent sources, that Mr. Wickham is implicated in the deaths of several feline therians. We cannot, in good conscience, sell him any therian blood until we know the status of this claim.

Nature of Complaint: I ordered a pint of therian dog blood, and the spell was a complete disaster. I believe this shipment to have been tainted. When I called Theriantype.com they sent me another pint, but it was also tainted. No refund was offered.
Theriantype.com response: In an effort to exceed our own quality control standards, we decided to put the second pint through a more rigorous verification procedure. Ms. Clearwater, we at Theriantype.com are very concerned about this matter. If at all possible, we would like for you to send the potentially tainted blood back to us for further testing. We will be happy to send you a postage-paid box so that you may ship it back to us at no cost to yourself.
RESOLVED: Note from Ms. Clearwater: I am so sorry. I caught my three year old peeing in the blood container. I am so so embarrassed. Please accept my apologies. Theriantype.com is a wonderful company. I need to put this stuff on a much higher shelf. I took my son to the doctor, and apparently his father has some canine therian in him (we didn't know.) My kid was trying to mark his territory because he smelled another dog in the house. Again, so so sorry.

Mick Answers Your Most Pressing Concerns
1. I live in Cary Town can I still order?
TherianType.com hasn't yet set up donation locations in Cary Town (we're still in negotiations with the tribe leaders.) But, we are allowed to
deliver blood to Cary Town residents.
2. Why isn't the cross-referencing index loading?
This feature of the site has become far more popular than we initially thought it would be. Sometimes the servers get overloaded and that particular part of the site won't load. Rest assured we are working on this problem.
3. Why won't you take my blood? I went to a donation location and they said it was rejected?
Did you list all medications you were on? If there are any drugs at all in your system, prescribed or not, it can affect the spell. Pills used to interrupt the heat cycles of some breeds are not included in this, since we've found no interference with these pills and magical intent.
4. If my blood is rejected what happens to it? How do I know you didn't sell it anyway but not pay me?
We understand your suspicions. For this reason, if your blood is rejected, it is disposed of in front of you. We cannot return tainted blood to the original donator.
5. What if I want to sell it myself to someone directly?
We can't be a party to that. Knowing it could interfere with someone's magic, we can't accept that karmic responsibility.
6. I logged on to order and it says my account is inactive. What happened?
Due to our newer application policies, you may have to reactivate your account. See the magic users page for more info.
7. I'm a therian and I need help. The old way of donation at least gave me protection, your way just gives me money.
We are connected to several therian shelters all over the country. And are working to set up a shelter in Cary Town.
8. I'm a magic user and I don't see the point in spending money for blood when I can just get it for free by taking in a local therian.
Yes, you can take that risk. But more and more magic users are getting away from this practice. It was typically done more out of necessity than preference. When you take in a local therian, you risk blood tainted by drugs, psychological imbalance, sickness, or other impurities. Therians don't get sick often, but they are carriers for many things, and those pathogens can taint the blood, and your working.
9. I'm still not convinced.
We can send you a mini-vial sample of the blood of your choice. Use it to enhance a compatible spell and decide for yourself.
10. Where are you located?
We can't divulge our location for safety and security reasons, but if you call us, we can direct you to a donation location if you're a donor. Or take your order if you're a magic user. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
